It’s Sean’s “pretend” birthday tomorrow as he will back at his Mum’s house on the actual day. So here is today’s culinary masterpiece…………

P.S. Realised that I know less than Jack ( No pun intended to my nephew to be whose name IS Jack  ), when I had to CALL Rob Mac to ask what colour the checks are onthe flag. Yep- Bathurst here I come…

And she doesn’t look a day over 50….. no, really, it was a super nice night, and Jane was beautiful as ever.

Last Sunday my Big Brother flew out to trek the “Kokoda Trail”. Yep, you read right, the ACTUAL trail, not a virtual easy version like when I climbed Mt Everest. The actual trail with bugs, spiders, crawlies, snakes, leaches, no toilets or showers, and ABSOLUTELY NO MACDONALDS!!!!!!!!!

The boys have been doing some heavy training, as they need to be able to do 8-10 kms a day.

Luke is off on Safari with 6 of his mates, to the big world of tinned food. They have raised almost a  whopping $20,000 for “Teen Challenge”, a program for helping to get kids through schooling. WHEN my big brother gets home, I’ll get him to send me the link to the Teen Challenge website.

Here are the boys before they turn into the Wild Men from Borneo. Luke is the tall one at the back !!!

Today Meegan and Owie left for their 4 year holiday to Syd-a-ney. While we will miss Marc, Meegs and Owie terribly, we will see them soon !!! So get that house unpacked Mrs Harvey, and get that spare room ready- the Mac Lors are coooming !!!!! Be afraid….

So, that’s our life so far in a Nutshell. A few of you know that about 4 months ago Rob & I took on a restaurant, and are about to leave the restaurant in 12 days time. Thankyou to those people who have given us advice ( The Kyles, The Harveys and all parents) and support ( all people above ) and to Marc & Jane who had to physically give blood & sweat !!!! And the reason why we are pulling out of the restaurant ? I haven’t seen Rob Mac for more than half a day for 4 months. The restaurant is just so COMSUMING. And not that Rob & I are afraid of hard work, but life is too short to spend it in a kitchen away from your family and freinds.

So- onto our next adventure, whatever that may be !!!

It’s time to meet – cue Scary Music- the Brother & Sister in Law to be  !!!!!.

Now without getting soppy, I couldn’t have asked for a better family than these 2- Tom & Jane. (Jane is Rob’s baby sister).

Tom & Jane, like the kids, accepted me into their home ( literally- Rob & I lived with them for 6 months when I first moved to Bris Vegas! ), and had only known me for about 2 weeks prior to this. Tom is Rob’s sounding board, and likes to bounce his ideas off Tom ( and those who know Rob Mac- he’s got LOTS of stuff going on in that head of his !!! )

And Jane, is one of the nicest, most honest, caring people I have ever met. Jane, Rob and Karla have the same eyes- they mean TROUBLE !!!! And we obvioulsy LOVE them to bits, that’s why  Jane is one of my bridemaids & Tom is one of Rob’s Best men….. Oh yeah , did I mention we ARE GETTING MARRIED !!!!!

and of course- Jane & Tom wouldn’t be complete with Jack, and Thomas !

Rob Mac, Sean & Karla. Sean will be 9 in November, and Karla will turn the big 7 in July. They have accepted me into their life and their hearts with ease, which has made the scary “Step – Mother” title a thing of the past. We even have our version of Mothers Day- The kids like to call it ” Happy Meegan Day”, which Rob has quite quickly turned into “Step Monsters” Day- Thanks Rob Mac !!!
