It’s Sean’s “pretend” birthday tomorrow as he will back at his Mum’s house on the actual day. So here is today’s culinary masterpiece…………

READY……. SET ………..GO !
Yes, I know how good I am to get the starting man to actually “hold” the flag, but it’s hard being me you know !!! ( Just don’t look at the man sinking into sticky blue quick sand icing, and the wheels stuck in blue mud
P.S. Realised that I know less than Jack ( No pun intended to my nephew to be whose name IS Jack
), when I had to CALL Rob Mac to ask what colour the checks are onthe flag. Yep- Bathurst here I come…

There were so many kinds of “Cream” Roses !!!!!!!!!!!! Jane ( AKA Bridesmaid of Horror, Meegs Harbey the other BOH busy in Syd-a-ney with her NEW baby and family of FOUR now !!!!
) and I went to the florist- Bliss Forist in Stafford. We ended up choosing something that hopefully won’t clash with the dresses. You’ll see in March !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last weekend Rob & I finally found a Dolls house for Karla for Christmas ( Yep- Christmas shopping in August ), and we took it home and pulled it apart to see if all the pieces were there- that’s what we are telling ourselves, not that we wanted to play with it! It’s reeeeeeeally cool and now I can drag out all my dolls house stuff that my Mum kept from when I was a wee little girl!!!!! I think it’s pretty neat that Mum kept them, and now I can give them to the little Princess. Now just got Sean Mac to do for Christmas! Rob decided that 2 of the dolls looked like us, so see below for Rob & I “Dancing”. The relationship progressed to more than “Dancing”, for the Rob & Meegs dolls, but I’ll leave those pics out as this is a family friendly blog!

Last Sunday my Big Brother flew out to trek the “Kokoda Trail”. Yep, you read right, the ACTUAL trail, not a virtual easy version like when I climbed Mt Everest. The actual trail with bugs, spiders, crawlies, snakes, leaches, no toilets or showers, and ABSOLUTELY NO MACDONALDS!!!!!!!!!
The boys have been doing some heavy training, as they need to be able to do 8-10 kms a day.
Luke is off on Safari with 6 of his mates, to the big world of tinned food. They have raised almost a whopping $20,000 for “Teen Challenge”, a program for helping to get kids through schooling. WHEN my big brother gets home, I’ll get him to send me the link to the Teen Challenge website.
Here are the boys before they turn into the Wild Men from Borneo. Luke is the tall one at the back !!!

Today -Saturday, Rob did the “Take the kids to Swimming Lessons” thing, while I did the “see how many loads of washing I can fold in a hour” thing.
Turns out that the Swim School has been sold to Australian Crawl, and the new owner has suggested that Sean starts “Squad Training”. Megs will have to have a chat to the lady next time to enrol!!! How cool is that ?
Here’s the kids with our Mate Owen Harvey on their 1st day of lessons.

I get to work one day and a Tupperware Catalogue ( of all things ) landed on my desk. I have always been the Anti- Tupperware girl ( “Why would I pay $90 for a bowl when I can pay $5.95 at Coles for Decor?” ), so I buy some things, and absent minded-ly tick the dreaded box of ” would you like to have your own party? “…….and low and behold, the lady calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I have to have the party within a week or I miss out on the specials…….Aaaaahhh !!!!!!!!!! That means I actually have to entertain people !!!!!!!!
So all the lovely ladies rocked on over, ate and sepnt their little hearts out, and looked what I ended up with!!!!! And of course I tried to re-create the flan the lady made while she was here, although I’m not so culinary sophicated as to OWN a flan dish, let alone MAKE one, so I turned them into muffins instead. And I’m lazy so I’m not going to type the recipe on until someone asks. ( Come on, give me break, it’s taken me over 2 months to blog from last time !) I like to call them Brownie Muffins.
Good Baking tip- buy the LARGE blocks of chocolate, so that when half the choccie accidentally ends up in your my mouth, you will still have enough for the muffins.

It’s 9.30am on Saturday morning and the 3 Musketers are on our way to Swimming Lessons ( we’ve already done the bed-making/breakfast/teeth brushing/hair/lost shoes never ending saga/etc ), and Sean & Karla are in the back of the car telling their version of a “JOKE”.
Here goes, I’ll try and re-create the story it for you- I hope I do it justice.
Karla: “Hey Sean, what’s your favourite colour? “
Sean: “Blue”
Karla: “What’s your favourite animal and your favourite sport? “
Sean: “Um, a shark and rugby”
Karla: “Have you ever seen a blue shark playing rugby !!!!!!! ? “
Now picture both kids doubled over laughing. When they compose themselves, Sean starts again-
Sean: “Hey Karla, what’s your favourite colour ? “
Karla on the other hand, has had enough of this joke, and says “Yellow”
Sean: “But Karla I thought your favourite colour is pink? “
Karla looks at Sean with one eye brow raised ( I can see this from the rear- version mirror ), and waves one hand carelessly at Sean and says with a huff ” Oh Sean, Pink is soooo yesterday”.
My point- Karla is 6 years old.
